Accessibility features on this site

  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page (visible on keyboard focus)
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Sufficient color contrast for text and UI elements
  • Responsive layouts that adapt to mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • Honors your operating system's reduced motion preference — animations are minimized if you've enabled that setting
  • Photos include descriptive alt text
  • Form fields have associated labels
  • Mobile menu can be opened and closed entirely with the keyboard

Limitations and known issues

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Specifically:

  • Some older scholarship awardee photos may not have descriptive alt text beyond the awardee's name.
  • Some PDFs linked from the site (older policies, conference agendas) may not be screen-reader optimized.
